At Resurrection, worship is a central activity of our life together.

As we worship through Word, Sacrament, and Prayer, we enter into the great story of God’s love for us, as expressed through the gospel of His Son, Jesus Christ: God Calls us into His presence, He then Cleanses us in His Son, Consecrates us with His Word, Communes with us at His table, and Commissions us for the world.

We gather together in worship in order to express our love for God and to rest in His love for us. And through our liturgy we are reminded of this beautiful truth: We were made to know and be loved by God! As we rest in God’s great love for us, we are also renewed by his Spirit to reflect this love to the world.

So it is precisely our allergy to repetition in worship that has undercut the counterformative power of Christian worship—because all kinds of secular liturgies shamelessly affirm the good of repetition.
— James K.A. Smith

We participate in the sacrament of communion on a weekly basis during our worship service.

The Scriptures invite and urge us to express ourselves and our love for God together through song in corporate worship. [Is 12:5, Ps 95:1, 1 Cor 14:15, James 5:13,…] Thus, Redeemer is a singing church. Through our music, we unite ourselves in common expressions of our love for God and we respond to him with a common voice. It is also a key way of expressing our creativity back to our creative God!

We invite and welcome the whole family of God. Children, whether our own or our neighbor’s, are a blessing!

During our service, children 4 years through 3rd grade are invited to participate in their own Children’s Worship segment of our service during the sermon. They then return to join us for the Communion. (Please see our Resurrection Kids' page for more information).
